I found out that i can't attend my Grandmother's 90th Birthday all because of what???? EXAMS. It's always been like that, it's either i'll miss out on Mother's day celebration since it falls during the examination period back in Secondary school days. Now having entered tertiary level, i thought problems such as this would not ever happen, and i can happily go for family gatherings, but damn, i'm so wrong now. I really want to go but i can't. Her birthday is on 4th September and exams start on the 5th. If her birthday falls on the 3rd, i might still consider going. But for now, it seems like an absolute no choice, I've got to give it a miss once again. You might be thinking, just go lar, as long as you finish your revision, the night spent out the day before your exams won't be a hinderance to your performance. Think again, if i'm having a major exam the next day, do you think i would entirely enjoy myself during the celebration? The day before it's time for me to drown into my books.
Can't the polytechnic synchronise their holidays and examination period with the rest of the students from the other levels? Very disturbing issue here. *curses*
